The future comes before

Facing the Clyde river and the old town of Glasgow, the project consists in a micro block prototype, a self sufficient neighbourhood that offers to its inhabitants the opportunity to produce and consume food locally.
Working as an agricultural cooperative, the 120 vertical aquaponics farms will produce enough food to feed more than 2600 people, that is 5 times its population.

As a direct subdivision and integration within the Victorian grid, the Micro blocks prototypes will expand through Tradeston, and adapt themselves according to their surroundings.

Starting from micro units, a range of configurations will be obtained according to the input we give.

The different micro units, or programmatic units can be manipulated in order to generate different sizes of buildings combinations, those combinations coupled together will give birth to micro blocks with a range of densities.
